gute idee

Der Webchat läuft ab sofort auf Port 80.

Super Sache . Dann gehts jetzt bestimmt bei jedem .

Versuche gerade auf linux einen IRCClient zum Laufen zu bringen, aber will nicht so klappen.
Ich habe nun KVirc, KSirc und Konversation aber bei keinen klappt es.
Kann mir hier jemand Tipps geben wie ich diese, einer würde mir reichen, einzurichten habe.

Sobald ich versuche einen /join #rchelifan.org kommt dann folgendes:

Mir fällt gerade ein, ich habe ja eine Firewall, muss da vielleicht einen speziellen Port noch freigeschaltet werden von Außen nach Innen?

Als erstes deaktiviere mal SSL, und probiere es noch mal.

Ob SSL unterstützt wird, weiss ich nicht, da kannst Du im Chat Armadillo oder ColaFreak fragen. (Wenn Du mit deaktiviertem SSL nicht rein kommst, das WebInterface sollte auf jeden Fall gehen).

Leider auch so funzt es nciht:

Ich wollte eigentlich vermeiden den WEbchat zu nutzen, da dieser bei mir nur über Firefox läuft und es einen Resourcen fresser ist.

Musst Du ja nur kurz, um die beiden zu Fragen, die werden Dir schon helfen können, wenn sie online sind.

Nach einigen Versuche ist es mir nun mit Konversation gelungen.

OK, weisst Du noch, was Du ändern musstest?

Ich habe es auf den standard Port (6667) wieder zurückgesetzt, und habe meinen Nick zuerst über den WebChat registriert, warscheinlich war das der fehlende Schritt der zum Problem geführt hat
Da ich noch nie vorher mit Chat zu tun gehabt habe, muss ich noch lernen

6670 ist der SSL Port des IRC, du musst hier selbst signierte Zertifikate zulassen. Den Nick musst du nicht zwingend registrieren .

Nachdem er schon lange im Chat unterwegs ist, vielen Leuten (inklusive mir selbst) geholfen hat und auch das erste Chat User Treffen im Jahr 2011 organisiert hat, freue ich mich echo.zulu nun bei uns im IRC-/Chat-Team begrüßen zu dürfen!
