MS-DOS ist halt von Microsoft, DR-DOS ist von Digital Research.

Also ich hab jetzt Windows 98 SE auf dem Notebook,
ist ein altes und kann wahrscheinlich nicht mehr verkraften,
da ist ja MS-DOS drauf !
Kann ich da jetzt DR-DOS drauf installieren, ohne das ich
Windows 98 SE deinstalliere ?
Die Instalations-CD exestiert nicht mehr, aber den Code hab ich noch !
Oder kann ich ne Demo downloaden und mit meinem Code
freischalten ???

ich denke nicht das du DR-DOS installieren kannst ohne daß WIN 98 Schaden nimmt.
Was genau ist denn dein Problem mit MS-DOS ?
Was bringt dir das, ein DOS mit einem anderen zu ersetzen ?
Die Seriennummern von frühen WIN 98 Versionen und alten Office-Produkten sind eh' der Witz
Die kann man sich aus dem Kopf selberbasteln

denke auch, dass win98 meckern wird - ich würde auf ner anderen partition erst mal das dos und dann 98 nachinst. und probieren...
...ne win98se cd wird ja wohl irgendwo im bekanntenkreis - für testzwecke - zu bekommen, oder!?

Frage nur nochmal - wie von chr-mt: Warum das ganze!? Win98SE auf MS-DOS war das Vernünftigste, was Microsoft je zustande gebracht hat... never change a running team....

Du meinst MS-DOS. Oder?
DR-DOS ist so spät gekommen, da gab es schon fast keine 5 1/4 Zoll Laufwerke mehr.
Ich hätte aber noch nen Rechner, bei dem ich das umkopieren könnte
.Das mit der Drüberrutscherei würde ich auch nicht machen.
